Meet the Designer
Sharon Hinton Smith is the designer and developer of the Glimpse of Heaven Collection®. She has a
degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was also on the Dean's List. In addition to owning
a jewelry collection, she is an accomplished Singer/Songwriter, television host and author.
Jewelry Designer
Mrs. Smith began creating her first piece of jewelry in the late 1990s. Seven years later, she named
the collection and began adding more pieces. In her initial order of twenty 14K yellow gold bracelets, eighteen were pre-sold!
Since then, people from all around have purchased pieces from this unique and inspiring collection. In 2006, Smith received an
official Registered Trademark for the Glimpse of Heaven Collection® from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She
continues to develop new ideas to add to the collection.
Singer/Songwriter Concert Ministry
Mrs. Smith's Christian concert ministry includes international audiences. In addition, she leads worship at various
women's conferences. In 1999, she won the Songwriter Competition for the Great American Gospel Fest; and in 2000, she was
selected by the Gospel Music Association as one of eight regional finalists in the Songwriter Competition in Washington D.C.
When she was only 19 years old, she led numerous chapel services for the North Carolina General Legislature. Early on, her
vocal and acting abilities brought her work at Paramount's Carowinds as the teenage Pebbles Flintstone and as numerous Star
Trek characters.
Television Show Host and Producer
Currently, Smith also produces and hosts her own
television show called
A Wonderful Life with Sharon Hinton Smith.
She has been a host of other television shows in North Carolina as well as an on-air
personality of a news-talk radio station. In addition to on-camera, she has voiced many commercials for Time Warner
Cable and PAX-TV.
Author
Mrs. Smith has co-authored a book entitled
Conversations on Faith,
from Insight Publishing, a Tennessee-based publisher. She
joined nationally known personalities Dr. Robert Schuller, Dave Dravecky and actress Ann Jillian, to create this collection of
content-rich interviews designed to encourage and motivate people from all walks of life to live an abundant, faith filled
life.
When asked about her ever expanding ministry, she simply states that she doesn't believe in limiting God.
"It's natural for us
to label each other as well as ourselves. I originally thought my way of witnessing would be only singing and song-writing.
After recording my debut CD, Faithful, God opened the way for a television show, co-authoring a book, and also this jewelry
collection. My heart is to spread God's truth and love to as many people as possible in as many ways as He leads. The only
thing on earth that will last an eternity with God are our souls. There is always hope for our souls as long as there is
breath in our bodies. This gives me inspiration to encourage others to get to know our loving Almighty God!"
